Electrical changes for working buildings.

A changed room layout, ageing fittings or new equipment can create a need for different lighting and power infrastructure. Masters Voice Technology reviews the proposed use, existing installation and access requirements before defining the work.

Commercial lighting installation

New fittings, replacements and lighting alterations for offices, classrooms, meeting rooms and shared areas. Consider fixture location, visual comfort, maintenance access and the activities taking place in the room.

LED lighting upgrades

Review existing fittings, controls and operating hours when planning a replacement. Compare the proposed equipment and layout with the current installation rather than assuming every retrofit delivers the same result.

Power outlets and equipment circuits

Provide the equipment ratings, intended locations and operating needs. Assess available infrastructure, cable routes and protection before adding outlets, relocating supplies or installing dedicated circuits.

Office fit-outs and alterations

Coordinate power for workstations, floor or table connections, displays and equipment racks with structured data cabling and the furniture plan.

Plan the lighting, power and technology together.

Corporate workplaces

Align outlets and lighting with desk positions, collaboration areas and meeting-room layouts. Establish the equipment list and cable routes before furniture or ceiling works are finalised.

Meeting-room design and integration →

Schools and public facilities

Plan classroom power, room alterations and lighting repairs around occupancy, room access and agreed interruption windows. Include site procedures and approval contacts in the brief.

Hospitality and community venues

Consider function-room layouts, stage and presentation equipment, entries and external areas. Coordinate installation with events, trading hours and other refurbishment works.

AV and communications systems

Provide power infrastructure for displays, projectors, signage, network equipment and AV racks. Coordinate it with the AV installation so equipment locations and service access are agreed together.

From site assessment to handover.

1. Define the change

Review room use, equipment needs, existing plans and the proposed lighting or power layout. Identify site conditions requiring inspection before a firm scope can be agreed.

2. Coordinate access

Agree attendance, shutdowns, ceiling or wall access and responsibilities for furniture, building work and making good.

3. Install and verify

Complete the agreed electrical installation and testing. Coordinate interfaces with data, AV and other trades where included in the project.

Prepare a useful installation brief.

  • Site address, building use and the rooms affected.
  • Plans or photographs showing existing fittings, outlets and proposed equipment locations.
  • Equipment ratings and the number of new or relocated connections.
  • Preferred completion date, access restrictions and available shutdown windows.
  • Any work being handled by your builder, furniture supplier, IT team or other contractors.

Our commercial electrical team can review this information and determine whether a site assessment is needed.

Discuss your installation scope

Lighting and power project questions

Can you upgrade lighting while a site remains operational?

Access and interruptions must be planned for the specific building. Discuss staged work, room availability and attendance windows before agreeing the programme.

Can new equipment use the existing power circuit?

This requires assessment of the equipment requirements and existing installation. Share the equipment specifications and available circuit information so the electrical scope can be reviewed.

Do you provide emergency and exit-light testing?

Yes. Emergency and exit-light testing has a separate service scope covering asset identification, testing, defect reporting and approved remedial work.

Can you provide power and data cabling together?

Yes. Masters Voice combines licensed electrical work with communications cabling and AV integration. Agree the outlets, network connections and equipment locations as part of one coordinated brief.

What affects installation cost?

Fitting and outlet quantities, equipment selection, cable routes, existing infrastructure, access, attendance hours and associated building work affect the proposal. Identify inclusions, exclusions and work requiring further assessment before comparing prices.
