Different Jobs for Every Zone
Sydney Park Hotel needed a flexible AV system that could support different areas of the venue, each with its own purpose, atmosphere and operating requirements.
In a modern hotel, pub or club, every area needs the right AV experience. The bar needs energy, the dining area needs comfortable background music, the sports area needs sharp screens and reliable video, the rooftop needs flexible entertainment, and the function room needs microphones, music and presentation inputs.
Behind it all, staff need simple control so the venue can run smoothly without technical confusion.
The venue required a system that could support:
- Different audio levels across different venue zones
- Flexible background music and entertainment sources
- Live sport across multiple commercial screens
- Rooftop audio and video requirements
- Function room microphones, music and presentation inputs
- DJ connection points
- Digital signage and venue messaging
- Reliable cabling, power and data infrastructure
- Simple control for staff
- Ongoing AV support and maintenance
The challenge was not simply to install speakers and screens. The goal was to create a complete venue technology system that supported the way the hotel operates throughout the day and night.
Hotel AV Installation in Sydney
A good venue AV system should make the hotel easier to operate. Staff need to select music, microphones, screen content and venue modes without dealing with complex racks or routing. The Sydney Park Hotel system was designed around simple control, flexible zoning and reliable AV performance across each trading area.
Staff can select the appropriate audio source for each area, including background music, live sport audio, Bluetooth, AUX, DJ input or microphone audio depending on how the space is being used.

Zoned audio allows each part of the hotel to run at the right level and mood. The restaurant can run comfortable background music, the bar can operate with a higher-energy soundtrack, the rooftop can use separate audio, and the function room can support private events.
AV over IP video distribution allows content such as Foxtel, free-to-air TV, digital signage, event content and function room presentations to be sent to the right screens in the right areas.

The control system gives staff an easier way to manage screen sources, audio zones, microphones, background music, rooftop modes, function room settings and digital signage displays without needing to understand racks, switches, amplifiers or complex routing.

Techology we Integrated Across the Venue
The venue AV system combines Turtle AV Darwin HD AV-over-IP technology, AUDAC loudspeakers, Australian Monitor Bluetooth wall plates, BSS audio processing, Lab Gruppen amplification and LG commercial displays to support flexible operation across the rooftop, function room and general venue areas. Networked video distribution allows content to be routed between displays, while zoned audio gives staff independent control over music and programme sound in each space. Local Bluetooth and DJ connection points make it easy to support everyday trading, private functions and live entertainment, creating a reliable and adaptable AV platform suited to the changing needs of a busy hospitality venue.
The venue audio system was designed around separate zones so each area could operate at the right volume and with the right source. The system included BSS BLU-100 DSP processing, Lab Gruppen amplification, AUDAC VIRO5 speakers, Bose subwoofers and supporting loudspeaker hardware for bars, dining, rooftop and function areas.

Turtle AV Darwin HD hardware was used to route video sources to the right screens across Sydney Park Hotel.
