The Project Brief

A library designed to do much more than lend books.

Camden Council's Oran Park Library operates as a modern community destination for learning, digital participation, presentations, children's programs and public events.

That required an AV environment capable of changing with the space. One moment the technology might support a collaborative workshop; the next, a film screening, school group, public presentation or interactive children's experience.

Masters Voice Technology delivered an integrated solution combining projection, audio, interactivity and straightforward system operation while respecting the contemporary architectural finish of the library.

Design Requirements

One AV platform. Multiple ways to use the library.

01

Bright, visible presentation

Projection needed to remain clear and engaging in public areas where ambient light could otherwise compromise image visibility.

02

Collaborative learning

Staff, presenters and community groups needed interactive presentation tools for annotation, workshops and education sessions.

03

Audience-ready audio

Speech, presentations and program material required consistent, intelligible audio across the nominated public spaces.

04

Interactive experiences

Children's spaces needed technology that encouraged movement, discovery, participation and digital learning.

05

Simple staff operation

Everyday operation needed to remain straightforward without requiring library staff to become AV technicians.

06

Architectural integration

Equipment positioning, mounting, cable pathways and service access were considered as part of the finished public environment.

Library AV Workflow

From collaborative workshop to community event.

The system was designed around activities rather than individual pieces of equipment, allowing different areas of the library to support presentation, learning, entertainment and interactive use.

04 · PLAY & DISCOVER

Interactive learning experiences

Immersive projection creates engaging digital play and learning experiences for children, families and visiting groups.

The Solution

Technology selected around what the community needed to do.

Rather than approaching each area as an isolated AV installation, Masters Voice Technology created a coordinated environment in which projection, audio and interactive systems each perform a defined role.

Epson interactive projection supports collaborative activity. High-brightness large-format laser projection supports screenings and public presentations. Professional loudspeakers and amplification support speech and program audio, while EyeClick technology introduces motion-driven interactive experiences.

Cable routing, equipment mounting, ventilation and service access were also considered to preserve the library's clean architectural appearance and make ongoing maintenance practical.

Technology Platform

High-output laser projection provides the image scale and brightness required for public presentation environments.

04

Clearer audience audio

Professional loudspeaker systems provide controlled speech and program coverage across nominated audience areas.

05

Simpler daily operation

The system is structured around normal library activities, reducing unnecessary complexity for everyday staff users.

06

Architectural integration

Equipment, cable pathways and mounting were coordinated to complement the contemporary public-space design.

Why This Project Matters

Public-space technology should expand what a community facility can do.

Oran Park Library demonstrates how audiovisual technology can move beyond a conventional presentation system and become part of the visitor experience itself — helping one public facility support learning, entertainment, digital participation, children's programming and community connection.
