Masters Voice Technology delivered a wireless AARC-EVAC emergency communication solution designed to broadcast clear evacuation, lockdown, all-clear and testing instructions across nominated classrooms, walkways and outdoor areas.
Project summary
The school required more than a single warning siren. It needed recognisable alert functions, consistent recorded instructions, strong outdoor projection and practical activation controls for authorised personnel.
The completed system combines wireless activation, message playback, directional horn loudspeakers and visual warning equipment in one coordinated emergency communication workflow. The user-facing controls follow familiar school terminology rather than technical equipment labels.

Emergency alert functions
Distinct alerts help staff, students and visitors understand what is happening and what action is required without relying on an improvised live announcement during a stressful event.
Red alert

The project requirement
Classrooms are only one part of a school environment. Playgrounds, walkways, covered outdoor areas and circulation spaces also require appropriate emergency notification.

The emergency communication workflow
The AARC-EVAC platform was configured around a simple operating sequence. An authorised staff member selects the required alert, the wireless command reaches the receiver equipment and the selected message is broadcast through the emergency loudspeakers while the visual indicators activate.
An authorised user selects evacuation, lockdown, all-clear or testing from the approved portable or fixed control.
The transmitter sends the selected wireless command through the configured AARC radio network.
The receiver and message-control equipment identifies the selected function and activates the correct recorded instruction.
Alert tones and voice instructions are projected through the outdoor horn loudspeakers while the visual warning beacons activate.
Authorised staff use the protected cancellation or all-clear procedure to conclude the active emergency event.
